May Sergei and all Ukrainians fighting for all of us be safe. I keep them in my heart. I honor their sacrifices. There is no "both sides" to this ruzzian aggression. ruzzia is the evil aggressor and occupier in this horrendous war. Anyone who does not see this or who does not care about it is disengaged from reality and empathy.
I see hopeful news and I also see tragedy every day in the stories from Ukraine. My wish is that Ukraine wins this war sooner. Slava Ukraini
Excellent poem and thoughts. Perfectly expressed. You definitely have a gift of putting these thoughts into words.
And I agree with you. As always. What definitely gave me pause for thought here is how you say people find it difficult to choose to do what is right. That they're scared to do the right thing. And that is so true.
How is it so hard? Of course, doing the right thing can come at a potential price. Evil has a lot of reach, and can destroy lives, no matter where. And yet, for me personally, choosing to do the right thing is so simple. Perhaps because I counted the cost decades ago, before I was faced with such a choice, and chose, from a place of peace and safety, to do the right thing. I don't know. 🤷
Thank you, Laurel! I don't understand either why it is so hard for so many people to pick a side, the right side. Like you, I have always felt it deep in my heart, and it has never been hard.
I guess this is just how things are. There are those of us who care, those who don't, and those who can't make up their minds. And that's just the way of the world, and we just have to do our part... Because I sure as heck couldn't do any different.
Beautiful post and poem, and I'm so glad to hear Sergei is alive. ❤️🩹
Thank you, Stas! Me too ❤️🩹
