I´d like to include your touching stories into the Memory of Mankind project to keep them alive for thousands of years. For further procedure, I'd kindly ask to contact me at: m.kunze@memory-of-mankind.com
This is of course not connected to any costs on your side, it is only about a few practical details.
Tastes are so evocative, you are so right - they can take you right back to a place and you can smell and hear what was going on too, just by tasting something now that is connected back through time. Loving your stories Darya! Keep on writing and sharing.
Strawberries - they would always just be in season on my birthday so it was a total treat and the ice cream spiders my grandfather used to make for me and my brother (coke and ice cream). Great memories ❤️
Perfect summer drink - glass of coke (sometimes lemonade), with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream in it - such a treat! I have no idea why it’s called a spider though.
I believe we have something similar to dulce de leche in México... Made with goat milk if I'm not mistaken...
A Turkish friend brought this to my attention :D

It’s so delicious! My favorite dessert from childhood.

Thank you, Tanya! What is the taste that brings you back to childhood?

I’ve never heard of ice cream spiders before!

Beautiful memories!
Thank you, Bill!
We also have bryndza in Poland; I wonder if the tasty is the same.
Probably it's very similar! I think bryndza is popular in many Eastern European countries.
