Today, I want to re-share a recipe for a favorite cake of my Belarusian family, which is easy to cook and so tasty! To me, this cake is the ultimate taste of autumn. In childhood, Mom used to bake it whenever we wanted something sweet and comforting. As days became shorter, our family spent more time gathering together in the kitchen with a cup of tea and a slice of apple cake. Autumn evenings were filled with chatter, warmth, and a smell of freshly baked pastries. Whenever I bake apple cake now, I am instantly transferred to the times when our family wasn’t separated and scattered around the world, when our house was full of laughter, and when life felt easier.
