Dear readers,
I’m sending this short letter to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I know that for many, this holiday season is not the easiest one, and I hope you’ll still be able to find a place for joy and hope in your heart.
I’m spending these holidays far away from my family, and it has been a long time since we saw each other, so if you celebrate with your loved ones, please take the most of these days. If you are celebrating alone, please know that you are never alone, and there are always people who deeply care about you and have you in their thoughts.
I hope all of you will be able to spend these days doing things that bring you comfort and peace – watching your favorite movies, cooking, reading, walking, visiting friends or relatives, giving presents, listening to your favorite music, sleeping – anything that makes you feel safe, grounded, and brings you little moments of joy. We all deserve some good, peaceful moments in the middle of the tornado we live in.
I often repeat to myself that we don’t choose in what times we live, but we always have a choice of how to live in these times. Let’s notice good moments, cherish them, and be gentle with ourselves and others.
All my love,
Darya

Thank you for these words and reminders. Here's to peace comfort and solace during these dark days and to dreams of victory in 2024.
Such a beautiful letter, Darya, and incredible photos as well. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and these beautiful images. I'm so sorry you can't be with your family this year. Hopefully 2024 will be the end of the invasion and you will be able to visit your home and family next year.
